An orange warning of the Department of Meteorology for extreme maximum temperature will be in effect on Thursday, as the temperature is predicted to rise to 44 degrees Celsius over the inland areas.
According to the warning, the temperature between 11.00 and 17.00 on Thursday is expected to rise to around 44 degrees Celsius inland and to around 34 degrees Celsius over the higher mountainous areas.
