The 10th Serdarlı Sestaları Spring Festival took place on Sunday, commemorating the arrival of spring and drawing locals and tourists alike to the vibrant celebrations. Attendees enjoyed perfect weather and took the opportunity to explore handmade crafts and artisan products, with all items available for purchase to support the local economy.
The festival officially commenced with a traditional folk dance performance, setting the tone for a day rich in cultural expressions. Halil Kasım, the Mayor of Geçitkale-Serdarlı, spoke about the municipality’s commitment to supporting such events in the future. He highlighted initiatives aimed at empowering women and reaffirmed the municipality’s dedication to standing by women in their pursuits.
Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar also attended the festival, taking time to tour the festival grounds. He visited various stands showcasing traditional Cypriot handicrafts, local delicacies, and a range of other exhibits.
The Serdarlı Sestaları Spring Festival has become a hallmark event that highlights the rich cultural heritage of Cyprus while also strengthening community ties and promotes local craftsmanship.
