The 12th LAPTA Tourism Festival which the Lapta ( Laphitos) Alsancak ( Karavas) Çamlıbel ( Mirtu) Municipality is organising will begin this Friday, June 7.
The three-day festival will end on Sunday, June 9.
A press conference was held at the Manolya Hotel regarding the festival and details were shared with the public.
Speaking to reporters, Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel Mayor Fırat Ataser reminded that Lapta was the region where Turkish Cypriot tourism started and noted that they aim to promote the natural and cultural-historical richness and production of the area with this festival.
Ataser also said that the region is the main artery of the country’s tourism sector.
Stating that they want to make the region a centre of attraction in tourism as before, Ataser said that they will carry the festival to a better position every year.
The festival will start with a cortege and will be inaugurated at 7 pm on Friday, June 7.
The festival will come to a close with a concert by Haluk Levent, one of Türkiye’s favourite musicians on Sunday, June 9.
