18-year-old arrested after discovery of explosives and drugs in Limassol


 

Police in Limassol seized four packages of cocaine and an explosive device during a search of a residence yesterday, leading to the arrest of the 18-year-old occupant.

Acting on a court-issued warrant, members of the police conducted the search in the afternoon. During the operation, they discovered four nylon-wrapped packages containing a total of 22.7 grams of cocaine. Additionally, authorities found a precision scale and an improvised explosive device.

The 18-year-old suspect was arrested for possession and is now in custody to assist with further investigations.

The case is being handled by the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the drug squad.
