An A-350 Airbus wide-body aircraft with a capacity of 329 passengers landed at New Ercan Airport for the first time today (01.11.2023).
The Turkish Airlines (THY) Istanbul-Ercan scheduled flight TK 960 was greeted by water-spraying trucks. The scheduled flight began with the first wide-body aircraft arriving in North Cyprus, with a total of 258 passengers.

The Airbus A-350 which arrived in North Cyprus for the first time was greeted with a ceremony by Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı, UBP (National Unity Party) Deputy Ahmet Savaşan, ministers, representatives, bureaucrats and other high-ranking officials.
Speeches were made while the cabin crew received flowers. The greeting continued with a cake-cutting ceremony.
