The Ministry of Health has confirmed the first death of the West Nile virus (WNV) in North Cyprus, today.
Three people with the West Nile virus (WNV) disease have been reported. All three were hospitalized, two have been discharged and an 82-year-old male with an underlying chronic illness has died, the statement by the Ministry said.
The Primary Health Care Department continues its preventiative efforts against the mosquito-borne disease, it has been reported.
