2024-2025 Academic Year to begin September 16


 

The 2024-2025 academic year for primary, secondary, and high schools is set to commence on Monday, September 16.

Approximately 28,000 students will attend 128 public and private schools under the Ministry of National Education, while around 30,000 secondary and high school students will study at 48 public and private schools managed by the General Secondary Education Department.

In a statement from the Ministry of National Education, details regarding the upcoming academic year were shared.

The first term for primary schools and those under the General Secondary Education Department and Vocational Technical Education Department will conclude with the distribution of report cards on Friday, January 31. The semester break will take place from February 1 to 16, with the second term beginning on Monday, February 17.

Final report cards and completion certificates will be issued on Monday, June 16, marking the end of the academic year.
