A 30-year-old man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison by the Larnaca Criminal Court after being found guilty of illegal drug importation, yesterday.
The man was arrested on July 6, 2024, at Larnaca Airport upon arrival from a foreign country. Authorities discovered and confiscated 15.6 kilograms of cannabis hidden in his luggage.
The case was investigated by the Larnaca Provincial Division of the Anti-Narcotics Unit .
