3rd minimum wage of the year determined

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission has officially confirmed the third minimum wage of the year, following discussions on the Turkish Cypriot Employers’ Union’s objection.

Since no alternative figure was submitted by the Employers’ Union, the previously decided amount was upheld by a majority vote.

The determined minimum wage, set at 40,436 TL gross and 35,180 TL net per month, was initially decided during the Commission’s meeting on September 18.

It will be published in the Official Gazette today and will be retroactively effective from September 1.
