Four people have been arrested in Gazimağusa (Famagusta) for kidnapping, assaulting and then blackmailing an individual for reporting them to the police.
A police statement said that, İ.H.A. (22), H.A. (25), B.D. (21) and O.Y. (30) assaulted T.Y and then took him to a residence after abducting him at around midnight on February 17.
According to the police, the individuals made T.Y dress like a woman, recorded him on video and blackmailed him saying that they will only delete the video if he gave them 20.000 TL. They also threatened him for causing harm if he does not give the money requested.
The individuals have been arrested and an investigation is underway.
