It has been reported that a total of 432 traffic offenses across North Cyprus were committed in a day.
A total of 2 thousand 262 vehicles were stopped and checked during traffic inspections yesterday.
A police statement said that 239 vehicles were driving faster than the legal speed limit.
Reported traffic violations:
10 people were fined for driving under the influence of alcohol, 1 for driving without a driving license, 7 for driving without insurance, 44 for using a mobile phone while driving, 15 for driving without a seat belt, 13 for not having road tax.
A total of 432 drivers were reported for various traffic crimes, 16 of which were violating traffic light rules, and 87 for other traffic offenses. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the violators.
1 driver has been arrested and 27 vehicles were disqualified from driving.
