509 individuals fined for violating traffic rules


 

North Cyprus Police reported 509 individuals yesterday across the island for violating traffic rules.

Legal action has been filed against the 509 individuals, 2,645 vehicles were pulled over and 35 individuals have received vehicle bans following inspections.

Reported Traffic Crimes are as follows;

253 people were fined for driving over the legal speed limit,

7 for driving under the influence of alcohol,

4 for driving without a driving license and insurance,

55 for using a mobile device while driving,

18 for not wearing a seat belt,

31 for driving without a valid road tax,

11 for driving without insurance,

7 for not wearing a helmet,

7 for violating traffic signals,

and 116 for committing other traffic crimes.
