A 53-year-old man has been arrested after being detected with 20 grams of cocaine while crossing border on foot.
According to a police report, H.M., who crossed the Metehan (Agios Dometios) checkpoint from south to north on foot at around 7 p.m., yesterday was detected with 20 grams of cocaine by the Prevention of Narcotics and Smuggling Team. The drugs seized were taken as evidence and the 53-year-old suspect has been arrested.
An investigation has been launched.
