Asset declaration causes tension

Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı made a statement regarding the People’s Party leader Kudret Özersay’s claim that there was a significant increase in the assets belonging to a minister.

Stating that he declared his assets to the Parliament in the 2022 Elections, Arıklı shared on his social media account the changes in the assets after that year.

Özersay evaluated Arıklı’s statement and asked why he did not declare the change in his assets to the Parliament after 2022, and stated that Arıklı admitted that a crime was committed by making a statement.

Özersay called on Parliament Speaker Zorlu Töre to file a criminal complaint to the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
