It has been reported that one person was injured following an accident that took place on the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu Avenue in Lefkoşa (Nicosia).
The statement by the police said that driver Uchechukwu Onyeji (40) who was under the influence of 142 milligrams of alcohol, crashed into the back of another vehicle driven by Filiz Toklu (41) who was waiting at the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital intersection for other vehicles on the opposite lane to turn into the hospital road.
Driver Uchechukwu Onyeji has been arrested and an investigation is ongoing.
