Initiatives are being held to overcome problems experienced at the Gazimağusa port (Famagusta) during the export of citrus fruits and artichokes.
The Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Hüseyin Çavuş attended a meeting at the Gazimağusa port where problems experienced were taken up, the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources said.
It was stated that the problems are expected to be eliminated once the spray truck booth belonging to the Gazimağusa municipality on the Larnaca road is given to the use of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Citrus fruits and artichokes to be exported to Türkiye will be sprayed with pesticides at the spray truck booth, before being loaded onto trucks and taken to the port. Officials from Türkiye will also be able to control the citrus fruits and artichokes that will be exported, it has been reported.
