Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) General Manager Dalman Aydın said that they were not expecting any power cuts as the capacity of the energy production at Teknecik had been increased to 90 Megawatts. Speaking to the TAK agency, Aydın stated that there were no expected power cuts except for local faults. Aydın noted that some regions were left without power as El-Sen was unable to intervene.
Aydın refuted claims that KIB-TEK was responsible for the power cuts in some regions.
