Metsola to visit Larnaca port for “Amalthea” plan progress


 

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola will pay a visit to Larnaca port on Tuesday, April 2, accompanied by Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Christodoulides, to monitor works there in the framework of the “Amalthea” plan to transport aid to Gaza.
According to a written statement by Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis, Metsola will arrive in Cyprus on Monday, April 1, and will have a tete-a-tete meeting with Christodoulides later in the evening.
The next day, at 11.45am (local time), she will visit Larnaca port, accompanied by Christodoulides, to monitor the progress as part of the initiative of Cyprus concerning the “Amalthea” plan for a maritime corridor to provide aid to civilians in Gaza.
They will visit the Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC) and will make statements to the Press.
Metsola will then depart from Cyprus.
