Fidias, a social media phenomenon secures a sit at EP


 

Conservative DISY is leading in Cyprus’s European Parliament election results, with 90.47% of the votes counted.

DISY currently stands at 24.93%, gaining around three percentage points compared to the previous EU elections in 2019.

Left-wing AKEL follows with 21.73%.

Independent Fidias Panagiotou amassed 19.18% of the vote and will comfortably secure a seat in the EU Parliament.

Far-right ELAM and centre-right DIKO are vying for fourth place, currently polling at 11.15% and 9.55%, respectively.

With 90.47% of the results in:

  • ELAM: 11.15%
  • DIKO: 9.55%
  • EDEK: 4.99%
  • VOLT Cyprus: 2.94%
  • DEPA: 2.19%
  • Greens: 1.32%
  • Hunters’ Party: 1.26%
  • Animal Party: 0.27%
  • National Action Movement: 0.26%
  • Andronicos Zervides: 0.11%
  • NIKI (Victory): 0.10%
