21-year-old motorcyclist in serious condition

A 21-year-old man is in serious condition following a road traffic collision in Ayia Napa around 1:30 am today.
According to preliminary investigations, the young man was riding his motorcycle on Makariou Street when, under circumstances still being examined, he lost control and the motorcycle overturned.
As a result of the collision, the 21-year-old was seriously injured and was taken to Famagusta General Hospital, where it was found that he had suffered a contusion of lungs, bleeding of the head, a fractured jaw and a spinal cord injury.

Due to the severity of his condition, he was later transferred to Nicosia General Hospital for further treatment and hospitalization.
The Ayia Napa Police Station is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
