Drugs detected at 3 different addresses in Gazimağusa


 

Three people have been arrested on grounds of the possession of illegal drugs during three separate raids carried out by the Prevention for Narcotics and Smuggling team.

A substance believed to be a cannabis-type (powder marijuana) drug weighing around 15 grams, two rolled-up cigarettes with a burnt tip, and one scale believed to contain drug deposits were detected at a 45-year-old individual’s residence in Gazimağusa (Famagusta) at around 1:30 pm and taken as evidence. The person in question has been arrested and the investigation continues.

Meanwhile, a rolled-up cigarette believed to contain cannabis-type drugs mixed with tobacco, 1 pill believed to be MDMA (Ecstasy) type drug, and one glass pipe believed to contain drug deposits, were also confiscated by the Prevention of Narcotics and Smuggling team in Gazimağusa (Famagusta) at the address of a 26-year-old suspect at around 11:30 am. Following the arrest police are carrying out an investigation.

On the same day, a substance believed to be a cannabis-type drug weighing around 20 grams, and one scale believed to contain drug deposits were detected and confiscated following a search conducted by the Prevention for Narcotics and Smuggling team in a 30-year-old individuals’ home in Gazimağusa (Famagusta) at around 7 pm it has been reported.
According to information received from the police, the person in question has been arrested.
An investigation continues.
