Met Office issues heat wave warning!


 

The Met Office has issued an update with a heatwave seemingly on the way. According to the report, temperatures are expected to be 4 to 7 degrees above seasonal norms as of tomorrow.
The heat wave is expected to be effective between 12 noon tomorrow until, 12 pm next Thursday, July 20.
According to a written statement by the Meteorology Department, the highest temperature is expected to be 4 to 7 degrees above seasonal norms. Temperatures are expected to be around 41-44 degrees inland and 36-39 degrees on the coast.
Authorities and the public have been urged to be cautious against the unfortunate heat wave that may cause land, forest fires or heatstroke. The public and workers have been advised to stay out of the sun without taking precautions, especially between the hottest hours of the day, between 12 noon and 4 pm.
