Cey & Ryan cycling London to Cyprus 2500 miles helping children with cancer


 

Representing Tanyel’s Smile, the children’s cancer charity, 2 Metropolıtan Police officers will be taking up a gruesome 20-30 days cycling challenge across Europe on 23rd September 2023. In doing so they hope to help children with cancer in North Cyprus. September is (childhood cancer month ).

The cycle is a challenging 2500 miles 4023 km.

PC Ceyhun Uzun with PC Ryan Mckinlay both are based at Safer Transport at Central London. They be cycling and raising awareness across Europe from London to Cyprus.

PC Uzun has set up the charity with his wife after losing their only child Tanyel in 2016, to Ewing sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, at tender age of 20. She was seeing treatment at Royal Marsden hospital in Sutton from 2013 to 2016 .

The charity was named after Tanyel ,Tanyel’s Smile helping children up to age 24 in Cyprus, where she enjoyed her summer holidays every year .
