The Nicosia District Court has issued an eight-day detention order for the 40-year-old man arrested yesterday in connection with an attempted murder of a police officer and causing malicious damage.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of June 22, 2024, in Nicosia. At approximately 4:30 pm on Ouzounian Street, the 40-year-old allegedly drove his car into a police officer who was riding a service motorcycle, resulting in injuries to the officer.
Nicosia CID is investigating the case.
