A bi-communal event will be organized by Turkish and Greek Cypriot members of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), and the Bi-Communal Peace Initiative-United Cyprus, in line with “September 1 World Peace Day”.
Trade Unions from South Cyprus will gather at “Eleftheria Square” on September 1 at 6:45 pm and march to Ledra Palace.
Turkish Cypriot union members will also march from the North. Unions from both sides will mqeet at 7.30 pm at the Taksim Square. A joint statement will be made followed by a concert from the Cypriot Traditional songs Association-KIBHAD.
