The foreign students who will study in primary and secondary public schools in North Cyprus this year are obliged to pass the Turkish Proficiency exam according to the Ministry of National Education.
The announcement came from Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu during an interview in a television program.
“ We are making a very serious decision this year regarding the foreign students education in primary and secondary schools . We will receive applications, from students ( foreign students)who will apply to schools for registration in June. After receiving the application of a student , we will subject the student to a Turkish Proficiency test. And we will not let students to attend classes those who do not have Turkish Proficiency ” he said.
He stated that Turkish language courses will be organised in August, provided that the course fee is paid in advance.
