Nicosia Turkish Municipality has announced that the connection from Hamitköy Atatürk Street to the new highway will be closed to vehicle traffic starting Thursday. The closure is due to planned excavation works in the area.
The municipality stated that, from May 8th until May 15th, access to and from the Highway via Hamitköy Atatürk Street will be unavailable. During this period, excavation works for sewerage infrastructure will be carried out at the highway junction with Hamitköy Atatürk Street.
The Nicosia Turkish Municipality advised drivers to use alternative routes during the construction works, which are expected to last for one week. The temporary closure aims to facilitate necessary infrastructure improvements, but residents and commuters are urged to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
