The ‘Akyar (Strovilla) Checkpoint’ in Gazimağusa (Famagusta), has been temporarily closed on both sides due to work to be carried out at the immigration cabins. The border will be closed between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. today.
A police statement said that citizens wanting to cross the border may use the Derinya Checkpoint during the specified hours until the Akyar Checkpoint is back in service.
