Animal producers go on strike in Nicosia!


 

Livestock producers are protesting in Nicosia against the government‘s livestock policies.

Some non-governmental organizations are also supporting the Cyprus Turkish Animal Breeders Association, for protesting against the government on policies of meat imports, the rise in input costs, and the policy of determining the prices of raw milk and livestock animals.

The producers who gathered at the Hamitköy and Gönyeli (Kioneli) Circle headed towards Nicosia at around 11.45 a.m. from the route known as “Tofaş traffic Lights”.

The vehicle protest is heading towards the Ministry of Agriculture with banners on tractors and work vehicles honking their horns along the strike.

The activists will make a statement in front of the Ministry of Agriculture, it has been reported.
