Annual classic car rally set for weekend


 

The Turkish Cypriot Classic Car Association (KTKOD) is preparing for its flagship event of the season, the “Near East Bank Classic Car Rally,” scheduled for September 14-15, 2024. This eagerly anticipated two-day event, renowned for being the longest rally of the year, will include overnight accommodations for participants.

Set to begin at 10 AM on Saturday, September 14, the rally will kick off from the İkas Supermarket located on the Near East University Campus. This marks the eighth event and third rally of the KTKOD Near East Bank 2024 Classic Car Rally Championship, promising an thrilling showcase of vintage automobiles and driving prowess.

As the first day’s journey concludes, teams will find respite at the Mimoza Beach Hotel, where they’ll spend the night before continuing their adventure the next day.

The event owes its success to the generous support of several organizations. Near East Bank takes the helm as the main sponsor, while additional backing comes from İkas Supermarket, CYP Duş, Güven Sigorta, Capital Radyo, and Amesis Digital Agency. Telsim has stepped up as the communications sponsor, ensuring smooth connectivity throughout the rally.

On the morning of the event, classic car enthusiasts will begin gathering at 9 AM, building anticipation for the official 10 AM start in front of İkas Supermarket.
