Art competition for Human Rights Day


 

The Embassies of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Sweden in Cyprus are launching a creative and symbolic art competition.
The two Embassies are co-organizing an art competition, with the aim of sparking the imagination, creativity and especially awareness of Cypriot youth for human rights.
The open call for the competition will run until 20 November 2023.

CONDITIONS
The age categories are 12-18 and 18+ years.
The artwork should be a painting, drawing, collage or photography inspired by the theme.
Participants are asked to write a short paragraph, no longer than 80 words, to explain their artwork.

The terms and conditions as well as general information may be found on the application form.
A jury consisting of representatives from the Embassies of the Netherlands and Sweden as well as professionals in the field will choose three winners in each age category.
The selection criteria will be creativity, originality and technical skill.
A wide selection of the participating works will be displayed in an exhibition at the award ceremony held in Nicosia on the 7th of December 2023, where also the winners will be announced.
