Association of Uncredentialeds to hold citizenship application protest in Nicosia

The Kimliksizler Derneği (Association of Uncredentialeds ) has announced a collective citizenship application protest in southern Nicosia scheduled for Monday, 19 May.

In a statement, the association said the action aims to highlight the difficulties faced by individuals who have been unable to obtain citizenship of the Republic of Cyprus, particularly those born on the island to mixed-nationality parents.

The association highlighted that such difficulties contradict the principles of state sovereignty and deny citizens their fundamental rights. To protest this stance and to offer support to those wishing to apply, the collective application event will be held on 19 May.

Participants are scheduled to gather at 08:30 near Ledra Palace on the southern side and will march toward the Nicosia District Administration at 09:00.

The event is open not only to individuals who have yet to submit their applications but also to those who have previously applied or have not experienced any discrimination in this process. The organisers emphasise that the event is also an act of solidarity.

Details regarding the required application forms and necessary documents are available on the association’s social media pages and at [https://kimliksizlerdernegi.blogspot.com/](https://kimliksizlerdernegi.blogspot.com/).
