An autopsy report of 27-year-old Onur Kayabaşı, who was a software engineering student in North Cyprus and suddenly fell ill and died on Tuesday, has shown that he was severely beaten to death.
It was determined that Kayabaşı was severely beaten by M.B. The reports said that he was hit in the head and kicked in the stomach in front of an entertainment venue in Girne (Kyrenia) on the night of March 13.
Kayabaşı who went to the Girne Akçiçek Hospital the next day with a complaint of abdominal pain was discharged after being told that he did not have a ‘serious problem’.
The death of Onur Kayabaşı who suddenly fell ill and died at his home on March 17 has devastated many.
M.B. who was arrested after the Kayabaşı’s death, was taken to court and arrested yesterday.
An autopsy report said that Onur’s death may have been caused by a blood clot in his organs after being hit in the stomach. His final report will be revealed after further examinations.
