The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit in Astana opened with the signing of paperwork for Belarus’ entrance to the Organisation.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, said that Belarus has completed all processes for full membership in the Organisation within a short period of time. Belarus is now the organization’s tenth full member. India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan have the same status.
The presidents of the SCO members signed paperwork to complete Belarus’s entrance to the Organisation.
