The council of the Girne (Kyrenia) Municipality unanimously approved the proposals put forward by the municipality’s administration last night.
Business permit restrictions and the removal of betting offices located in the Girne bazaar within a year, was agreed.
According to a written statement by the Municipality, Girne Mayor Murat Şenkul said that the decisions taken by the Girne Municipal Council would be the beginning of a new era for the city.
Şenkul emphasized the importance of the decisions in terms of planning.
Murat Şenkul stated that businesses located on Canbulat Street, Ziya Rızkı Street and Atatürk Street will now obtain upper limit operating permits. Two betting offices in the Girne Bazaar will be moved within a year, he announced.
