Bi-communal cleaning event set to be organized in Lefkoşa


 

A bi-communal event will be held in Lefkoşa (Nicosia) on September 16th as part of World Cleanup Day.

As part of the event, the entire area within the old walls of Lefkoşa (Nicosia) will be cleaned.

The event, coordinated by “Let’s Do It! World” will take place in 191 countries with more than 70 million volunteers.

Registrations will not be required to attend the ‘Let’s Do It! Lefkoşa (Nicosia), Let’s Do It!’ event organized by Cyprus Green Peace Movement, and the US Embassy in South Cyprus. However, participants are advised to contact one of the organizers before September 13th.

Participants are also advised to wear comfortable shoes and bring a hat and water with them.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. at the Phaneromeni Church in South Cyprus and at the Büyük Han in North Cyprus. The event will end at Home for Cooperation at 11 a.m.
