Buse Savaşkan wins Balkan championship


 

Buse Savaşkan, an elite athlete from the North Cyprus (TRNC) Athlete Federation achieved 1st place in the 77th Balkan Senior Championship, winning a gold medal.
Following her victory on 25-26 May, in Izmir, our representative Buse Savaşkan achieved the Balkan championship in the women’s high jump with 1.92.

Buse Savaşkan’s Olympic dream becomes reality

With her striving success Savaşkan currently ranks 27th in the World and 23rd in the Olympics’. Buse Savaşkan is expected to climb even higher with the newly announced rankings.

Buse Savaşkan’s next target is the European Championship
Her next stop will be in Italy. To add to her successes, the North Cyprus athlete will compete at the European Athletics Championships to be held in Rome between 7-12 June 2024.
