The 25th Büyükkonuk ( Komi Kebir) Eco Day event will take place on Sunday, October 13.
Speaking at the press conference organized about the Eco Day, Mehmetçik-Büyükkonuk Mayor Fatma Çimen Tuğlu shared the details of the event.
Tuğlu stated that two streets will be set up one called “Taste Street” the other “Cyprus Games Street”.
The Taste Street is where visitors will find local cuisine, hot food and drinks.
The Cyprus Games Street is where children’s games consisting of traditional Cypriot games that are on the verge of being forgotten will be taught to children.
Also speaking at the press conference the President of Büyükkonuk Eco Tourism Association, Louis Cemal stated that they have prepared an event where visitors can find everything and invited all the people to the Eco Day event.
With the slogan “Hade Büyükkonuk’a” or “Let’s go to Büyükkonuk”, the Eco Day, which will continue from 10.30 in the morning until 18.30 in the evening, will include a violin concert by Aytaç Çağın, dance performances by the Mehmetçik Büyükkonuk Municipality Folk Dance Team, Karpaz Girls show, folk dance performances by Mehmetçik Culture and Solidarity Association, HASDER, FOGEM, Geçitkale-Serdarlı Municipality teams, as well as concerts by local talents, Ferdi Usbahalı, Osman Özcömert and Murat Çığ.
