Chamber of Mechanical Engineers secures interim order on the decision left-hand drive vehicles

The Chamber of Mechanical Engineers (MMO) has successfully obtained an interim court order to halt the implementation of the Council of Ministers’ decision dated January 7, 2025, which allowed the registration of left-hand drive vehicles regardless of whether they have an import permit.

In a statement, the chamber explained that it turned to legal action after the Council of Ministers failed to retract its controversial decision. The MMO emphasized that implementing such a policy without adequate precautions could exacerbate traffic risks, particularly given the rising number of fatal accidents over the past two years.

The chamber underlined that filing the case was a matter of public responsibility, aiming to prevent further escalation in traffic-related fatalities and ensure public safety.
