The health condition of the migrant children rescued from a stranded boat off the coast of Cyprus two days ago is still very serious, spokesperson of the State Health Services Organization (SHSO) Charalambos Charilaou told the Cyprus News Agency on Friday.
He noted that the doctors are doing their best for their condition.
He said two of the children are in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit, while a third, suffering from a chronic illness, was also onboard and has been hospitalised.
In addition to the three children at Makarios Hospital, two others are receiving medical attention at Famagusta General Hospital.
Another child who was on the boat passed away on Wednesday.
The children were found in an unconscious state early on a boat off Cape Greco along with 55 other individuals.
The small wooden boat carrying migrants, which had been missing since January 18, was located at 4:30 am on Wednesday, 30 nautical miles east off Cape Greco.
