EU Infopoint is commemorating International Day of Persons with Disabilities by hosting an event titled “Colours of Sound”with the collaboration of European Mediterranean Art Association (EMAA).
The event will take place On December 3, 2024, at the Bedestan in Nicosia at 6 pm.
Papageorgio String Quartet will perform composer Hüseyin Kırmızı’s piece “Color et Sonor”.
This special composition was created to enable visually impaired individuals to experience colours through music.
Event Highlights:
* Mini discussion with the composer: A brief discussion with Hüseyin Kırmızı about the inspiration and creative process behind his musical work.
* Concert: A performance of the ten-part composition “Color et Sonor” by the Papageorgio String Quartet.
This marks the first open to public performance of the piece, and simultaneous interpretation in Turkish and English, as well as Turkish sign language interpretation, will be available for all attendees.
