A workplace accident occurred yesterday at approximately 9 AM, during a home renovation project in Lefkoşa (Nicosia), resulting in injuries to a construction worker.
Ali Hamoud Yahya Ahm ALSABRI, a 27-year-old male, was working on renovations in a private residence when the accident took place. ALSABRI was using an electric hammer to demolish a wall between the living room and kitchen areas of the home. During this process, the wall unexpectedly collapsed, causing injuries to the worker.
Following the accident, ALSABRI was promptly taken to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkoşa (Nicosia) for medical attention. Upon examination, doctors diagnosed him with a spinal fracture. After initial treatment, he was admitted to the Internal Medicine Service for continued observation and care.
Local authorities have initiated an investigation.
