A fire that broke out in the southern part of Alevkayası (Halevga) at around 1:30 p.m. yesterday caused great concern.
The fire, which spread to a wider area with the effect of the wind, continued throughout the night.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the growing fire and are continuing with cooling efforts.
The fire burned a maquis scrubland, hay and a number of trees within the 100-decare area.
