A traffic accident involving a cyclist and a car occurred yesterday at approximately 11 PM on Gelibolu 12. Street in Lefkoşa (Nicosia), resulting in injuries to the cyclist.
According to the police report, Abdulla NARBAYEV, a 37-year-old male, was cycling westbound on Gelibolu 12. Street when he allegedly crossed carelessly to the right side of the road. At the same time, a saloon car with plate number VH 601, driven by 24-year-old Toluwanımı Emmanuel BOLUWAJI, was approaching from the opposite direction.
The report states that NARBAYEV’s actions obstructed the path of the oncoming vehicle, leading to a collision between the bicycle and the car. As a result of the accident, NARBAYEV sustained injuries and was promptly transported to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkoşa (Nicosia), where he is currently under medical observation.
Local authorities have confirmed that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
