Cyprus continues to rise in popularity among Polish tourists, recording a historic high of 337,000 arrivals in 2024.
Tourism Deputy Minister Costas Koumis highlighted this success during a series of promotional events held last week in Krakow, Poznan, and Warsaw, according to a statement issued by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.
Koumis said that the Polish market has evolved into a very important market for Cyprus and in 2024, a percentage of 8.3% of all visitors to the island were from Poland.
The Deputy Minister noted that they have invested in the Polish market as it could provide solutions because other markets were lost following the geopolitical developments.
He went on to say that in just two years, the arrivals significantly increased from 186,000 in 2022 to 337,000 in 2024.
Koumis added that the upward trend continues and statistical figures show that so far there is an increase of 10% for 2025.
The events in the three cities were organised by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism with the participation of 23 hotel businesses, travel agencies and other Cyprus tourism bodies. Tourism stakeholders had the opportunity to hold one-on-one meetings with over 150 Polish tourism agents and tour operators.
