The Cyprus Tennis Federation presented on Friday the National Padel Men’s and Women’s teams that will take part in the FIP EURO PADEL CUP European championship, to be held in Madrid between July 7 and 13. This is the first time that the Cyprus Padel national teams will take part in a European Championship.
According to a press release, the national teams were formed based on the results of the athletes after three qualifying championships organised in Cyprus.
The Cyprus national teams, comprising seven men and seven women, will be coached by Pablo Bustamante.
The FIP EURO PADEL CUP is held in two phases (Phase 1 & 2) followed by the Final 8 event. Cyprus, which belongs to the countries that do not have an evaluated ranking, the press relesae said, will participate in Phase 1 and will battle for a spot in Phase 2.
