Two people have been arrested as part of a raid carried out in Edremit (Trimithi) and Girne (Kyrenia) by the Prevention of Narcotics and Smuggling Team.
According to a police report, a substance believed to be a cannabis-type drug weighing approximately 2 grams was found in a vehicle in Edremit, following a raid by the Prevention of Narcotics and Smuggling Team, used by a 23-year-old at around 5.30 pm yesterday, and confiscated by police.
The person in question was arrested and an investigation has been launched.
Meanwhile, a 34-year-old was detected with a total of 11 MDMA-type pills believed to contain narcotic drugs and approximately 30 grams of jute cannabis in ready-to-sale packages by the Prevention of Narcotics and Smuggling Team in Girne, at around 8.30 pm yesterday.
The substance believed to be a type of narcotic has been confiscated.
The person in question was arrested and an investigation is continuing.
