€1.5 million approved for Larnaca Marina dredging and renovation

The Council of Ministers has approved a budget of €1.5 million for dredging and renovation works at the Larnaca Marina on Wednesday.

According to Minister of Transport, Alexis Vafeadis, the works are essential for ensuring the marina’s safe operation, facilitating the smooth entry and exit of boats, and improving overall safety in the surrounding area.

“This initiative is part of our commitment to the local community of Larnaca to carry out these vital projects without delay. The dredging studies have already been completed, and we are now moving forward with selecting a contractor for the project,” the Minister stated.

He added that the project is expected to be completed within six months once the tender documents are finalized and the process begins. The upgrades will enhance the marina’s infrastructure, benefiting its users and the broader community.
