Ercan Airport’s new terminal building and runway will be inaugurated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan tomorrow.
The airport’s new terminal building and runway cost 450 million Euros.
The airport project was built with the build-operate-transfer model. Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Erhan Arıklı gave information about the new terminal building.
Ercan Airport’s current annual passenger capacity is 4 million and has been designed to serve a passenger capacity of 10 million with the new terminal building and runway.
Ercan Airport’s new runway is 3,200 meters long and 45 meters wide to serve large-bodied aircraft.
The new Ercan Airport is aimed to provide the country with an annual income of approximately 30 million Euros with the build-operate-transfer model.
