Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman will convene the Political Parties Council today to brief party representatives on his recent visit to Ankara and to exchange views ahead of the planned leaders’ meeting on 20 November. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 12:00 pm at the Presidency.
Party leaders set to attend include National Unity Party (UBP) leader Ünal Üstel, Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Deputy Leader Erkut Şahali, Democrat Party (DP) Leader Fikri Ataoğlu, Rebirth Party (YDP) Leader Erhan Arıklı, People’s Party (HP) Leader Kudret Özersay, and Social Democrat Party (TDP) Leader Zeki Çeler.
Erhürman is expected to brief the parties on his contacts in Ankara and gather their assessments ahead of his first meeting with Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides.
